Spring – my absolute favourite season. For me it’s a fantastic opportunity to make some changes. Like many others, we’ve had a tricky old winter, so I’ve been clearing out and re-arranging my book shelves, it feels like a rebirth.
Best of all Harry Husband has made me a new shelf specially for my dog books.
My energy is returning.
Moss is coming into season, it’s all happening.
Our walks are becoming increasingly sociable, it’s lovely to see more people outside, and talking to each other at last. For me one of the brilliant things about having a dog is that you have to walk, whatever the weather.
I think it’s a good idea to make friends with each season. So, is it okay to admit to having a favourite season? It feels a bit like having a favourite child.
As I write this I've got my windows open and I can hear the birds singing.
In further good news, Michael Morpurgo is about to publish a book entitled Spring, I can’t wait to read his ideas on the subject and add it to my collection.
It’s going to be released on Thursday 20th March, the Spring Equinox.
